Big Vision Empty Wallet is a curated membership community of artists and innovators. Instead of blindly connecting online, BVEW members can connect with potential collaborators based on the merit of their work (not the size of their bank accounts), through innovative competitions, fellowships, and showcases.
It is the Perfect Time to Crowd Fund Your Project Through BVEW and RocketHub!
We are proud to announce that RocketHub has teamed up with A&E to launch PROJECT STARTUP! This partnership will support a new wave of entrepreneurs and innovative thinkers to help bring their businesses to life.
We are so excited and proud to be a part of this initiative! A&E will work with RocketHub to identify key entrepreneurs who have current projects in development on RocketHub’s platform that reflect the network’s commitment to the new entrepreneurial spirit. A&E will support these projects with a significant seed money contribution to help them reach their fundraising goals, in addition to potential national exposure on all of the network’s platforms – including on-air and online.
Submissions are open for the 2013 Screenwriting Showcase & Fellowship.
Submissions will be accepted March 25th – June 15th.
BVEW’s writing programs are designed to showcase the work of screenwriters and playwrights, getting it into the hands of industry decision-makers and independent producers.
Connections are our specialty!
GET CONNECTED TO COLLABORATORS, CAST, CREW, VENDORS, AND VENUES.
Instead of searching through a generic member directory and blindly connecting with possible collaborators, we will connect you with potential collaborators, our preferred vendors, and any other connections that we have that may help you with your project. If desired, we will also post about your project in our member bulletin to drum up interest.
Make sure you update us about what you are working on!
VICTOR LESNIEWSKI – 2013 BVEW Playwriting Fellow
What I’m working on now:
I’m finishing up a fellowship with the Dramatists Guild, which has been a wonderful experience, in addition to gearing up for the production of my play Cloven Tongues this fall. The show will run in November at The Wild Project, directed by Michelle Bossy, and featuring Ema Lakovic, for whom I wrote the lead role. I’m also preparing for a trip out west this summer where I will workshop my brand new play about the Syrian Civil War at The Ground Floor, Berkeley Rep’s summer residency lab.
