Film Programs

Film Screening Series

Our film screening series is held in several screening venues in NYC. Since our company’s inception, we have screened over 300 of our members’ films.

Festival Partnerships

BVEW partners with festivals to create creative, specialized opportunities for our members to showcase their work.

Canon & BVEW’s National Film Pitch Competition

The NATIONAL FILM PITCH COMPETITION enables filmmakers to pitch their dream feature film.  The winning pitch receives a prize package worth over $100,000 designed to help get their film made.

Writing Programs

Like any BVEW venture, the goal of our Writing Programs is to help you further your career without selling your soul (and spending a ton of cash).  BVEW’s writing programs are designed to showcase the work of screenwriters and playwrights, getting it into the hands of industry decision-makers and independent producers. 

Writing Programs include the Playwriting Showcase & Fellowship and Screenwriting Showcase & Fellowship.

We host events that have ranged from intimate screenings to workshops to exciting multidisciplinary events for hundreds of members and guests.

Curated Connections

Instead of searching through a generic member directory and blindly connecting with possible collaborators, we will connect you with potential collaborators, our preferred vendors, and any other connections that we have that may help you with your project. If desired, we will also post about your project in our member bulletin to drum up interest.

Big Vision Awards

THE BIG VISION AWARDS honors artists and innovators who have achieved success by creating their own paths and who support independent work. We present the awards annually in NYC.

We currently offer three membership levels with varying degrees of flexibility. Once you are accepted, you will be able to choose your membership level that most appeals to you.
