PROJECT FROM AMY STAATS “MARY AND LOUISE” A FINALIST AT LA COMEDY SHORTS
Mary & Louise, a new project from BVEW Member Amy Staats, is one of three finalists in LA Comedy shorts 2012 Short Script Competition. They are currently planning to shoot in June, and have one week left in their fundraiser, posted on BVEW’s RocketHub page!
ANTHONY MARINELLI’S FILM “WALT WHITMAN NEVER PAID FOR IT” TO SCREEN AT NYLA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
“Walt Whitman Never Paid for It” directed by BVEW Member Anthony Marinelli, has been selected to screen at the NY LA International Film Festival 2012. The film is scheduled to screen as part of film block #1 on Saturday, May 5th from 12-2PM at the Producers Club in NYC.

On Thursday, March 22nd, BVEW Member Kiirstin Marilyn released her new EP at The Bitter End in NYC at a release party and performance. BVEW’s founders Alex Cirillo and Dani Faith Leonard were in attendance for this exciting evening!
BVEW Member Ballard C. Boyd Directs Video for Lil Jon
When BVEW’s owners were approached for a recommendation for a music video director, Ballard immediately came to mind! Ballard is a fantastic director-writer, as well as a great guy. We had screened his work at several BVEW events in the past, including our most recent music video competition.
Michael Cyril Creighton nominated for Writers Guild Award!
The 2012 writers guild awards were held on February 19th in NYC. Among the nominees was BVEW Member Michael Cyril Creighton, nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Writing Original New Media for his web series, Jack in a Box.
We first screened Jack in a Box in 2010. We screened a second round of episodes in 2011 and featured Jack in a Box in our Top 11 of 2011!
